Before Tooth Extraction Measures
Alcohol restrictions – alcohol should be suspended before and after the surgical procedure.
Transport to and from the appointment - when a general anesthetic or light sedation is used, the patient should not drive. Arrange for someone to accompany and assist the patient should be made.
The night before the appointment – a good night rest is recommended.
Personal items – your clothes should be baggy and comfortable. The sleeves should be easily lifted up over the elbows.
Contact lenses and dentures – you should remove contact lenses and dentures, by the way, don’t forget the containers for their safe keeping.

Have diabetes or another disease that results as an impaired immune system.
Take steroids for other conditions, like Crohn's disease or asthma.
