Nerve Canal is called the dental pulp, also known as the internal chamber of a tooth.
Neuron is the name of a nerve cell.
Nightguard is the name of a removable device, made of acryl and with the aim of minimizing the effects of grinding (which is called bruxism) and problems, associated with it.
Non – Intravenous Conscious Anesthesia is the state of depressed consciousness of a person, which is controlled by medical professionals. During this condition, the patient’s airway, protective reflexes, as well as the ability to respond to verbal commands and / or stimulation is maintained. This type of anesthesia includes the administration of sedative and / or analgesic agents by any other route, except the intravenous, and of appropriate monitoring.
Novocain is the older brand name for a local anesthetic, which has been replaced by some safer and more effective agents nowadays.
NSAID is the abbreviation for non steroidal anti – inflammatory drug, which is often used by dentists as an analgesic.
